Installation Instructions

Components of your Enermosity magnet kit:

  • Two magnet subassemblies
  • Four ¼-20 self-locking nuts and 4 hex bolts
  • Two plastic ties, used to hold Enermosity magnets in place when installed on piping, hoses and other non-flat surfaces. Do not use these ties anywhere near a hot surface.

Note: The nuts, bolts and ties are not needed for electrical panel installation. These are for use with hoses and piping entering home and commercial energy systems.

Tools required for installation:

  • 7/16 box end wrench
  • Ratchet socket wrench with a 7/16th socket
  • Side-cut pliers for cutting plastic ties, if necessary.

Electrical Panel Installation

Each set includes two Enermosity magnets.

  • Pull the two magnets away from each other.
  • Align the colored dots on the magnets so that the dot appears at the lower end of the magnets when they are held vertically.
  • If the panel has room next to the breakers, place one on each side of the breakers.
  • If the breakers are in a vertical line with the main breaker at the top, align the magnets next to the breakers, one above the other. The top magnet should be as close to the main breaker as possible.
  • If the main breaker is in the middle of the panel, align the magnets near the main with the top magnet inverted so the dot is at the top.
  • If the circuit panel is too narrow to accommodate the Enermosity magnets, you can attach them on the inside of the panel door in the same configuration they would be in if placement on the panel were possible. Make sure the door can close with the magnets placed inside. Keep the door closed.
  • If the main breaker is at the bottom of the box, electricity is coming into the box from the bottom. Reverse the direction of the magnets (dots at the top).
  • If a red dot is missing from a magnet, put a compass near the end of the magnet and mark the end that causes the compass to point north.
  • All magnets are installed only on the outside of the circuit breaker panel and within the breaker box.
  • Regardless of alignment, the magnets should always have at least 1 ½ inches of space between them, and be placed as close to the main breaker as possible.
  • Do not remove the electric panel!
  • Do not touch any wires!
  • If you have any concerns, contact a licensed electrician or our customer service.

If your box included bolts and plastic ties, these are used for engine and piping installation. They are unnecessary for circuit boxes.

Installation Instructions for Energy Systems with Steel and Rubber Fuel Lines

Enermosity Gas Saver Unit

  • Remove the Enermosity magnets from the box.
  • Each magnet has one red dot. The dot indicates the north end of the magnet.
  • Pull the magnets apart and turn one magnet so that the magnets repel each other.
  • Position the ends of the magnets with the red dots towards the energy system.
  • Enermosity magnets work best when installed very close to the combustion area of the engine or unit, but not on fuel lines made of stainless steel or aluminum.
  • Surround the fuel supply line with the magnets so that the line is in the center groove of the magnet assembly. The magnet will not be effective on the fuel supply line if the line is not in the center of the groove.
  • Depending on the circumference of the pipe or hose there may be space between the two magnets.
  • Insert the bolts into the four holes and, with the self-locking nuts, tighten the magnets around the pipe. Make sure they are firmly attached to the pipe or hose. If installing the magnets around a rubber hose, make sure they are secure without being too tight. They must not impede the flow of energy through the system.
  • If necessary, use the ties to stabilize the placement of the Enermosity unit.
  • To maximize the effectiveness of the Enermosity magnets, make sure they will not rub or rattle against equipment.
  • If a red dot is missing from a magnet, put a compass near the end of the magnets and mark the end that causes the compass to point north.

Before you know it, your Enermosity is installed and
you’re on your way to a lifetime of savings!

Cautions and Warnings:

  • The electric meter is owned by the power company. DO NOT GO NEAR IT! The magnets are to be installed over the circuit breaker panel. This is your property.
  • No electrician is required for installation, but make sure you stay away from any wiring. You could get shocked.
  • Never keep the units exposed to an open environment. The magnets must be installed in an enclosed area like inside an electrical box.
  • Keep Enermosity magnets at least six inches away from any computer equipment.
  • Do not install Enermosity magnets on stainless steel or aluminum. These compounds reduce the effect of magnets. It’s best placed on any other metal surface like steel.
  • Do not use the plastic ties anywhere near a hot surface. If the plastic ties are used in the installation, check them regularly as a part of equipment servicing. Replace the ties if they show any signs of deterioration.
  • Enermosity does not work on 3 Phase Electrical Systems

Enermosity magnets work best on plain steel or rubber hoses.

When installing the Enermosity, make sure that it is placed on the inbound fuel line. If you do not see fuel use improvement after 1-2 tanks of gasoline, move the Enermosity to the other fuel line.

If you have difficulty distinguishing between the inbound and outbound fuel lines, check the thickness of the lines. On many newer vehicles, the inbound line is slightly thicker than the outbound line. The coupling is also slightly larger. If the engine is running, you should be able to feel a slight pulsing of the fuel being pumped through the inbound line.

To ensure proper and safe magnet placement, we highly recommend that a professional mechanic install the Enermosity on your vehicle. Newer vehicles are particularly complex and the fuel line could be hard to reach.

To maximize the effectiveness of the magnets, the Enermosity must be placed as close to the fuel injector or carburetor as possible. If necessary, the Enermosity can be installed further back by the fuel tank where the fuel lines go up into the engine.

Enermosity works best when the oil and fuel filter are clean. You will see better and more immediate results if your vehicle has recently had this maintenance.

Stainless steel braided hoses are used on some engines. Magnets are not effective on stainless steel or aluminum. To check for the presence of these metals, place one of the Enermosity magnets next to the fuel line. If it does not stick, the line is made of one of those materials.

Cautions

Enermosity magnets are not for use with electric or hybrid cars or aircraft.

Do not install Enermosity on stainless steel or aluminum, since these compounds reduce the effect of the magnet. It’s best placed on a steel surface.

Keep Enermosity magnets at least 8 inches away from any computer equipment or computer chips.

On occasion, in order to properly install Enermosity magnets on a vehicle fuel system, it may be necessary to reset the computer. Properly secure the magnets and then remove one of the battery terminals. The computer should now reset and recognize the Enermosity.

An existing electrical device between the Enermosity and the engine may interfere with the effectiveness of the magnets.

Make sure the engine is cool before attempting any installation.
